Chocolate

What did you guys think of this movie? Just saw it thought it rocked. Jesus Christ JeeJa Yanin has amazing MA skills especially for a 15yr old! Hope there's a sequel

Re: Chocolate

It definitely is awesome. Though I think a sequel will kinda kill the mystique of the film itself.

She's a bit older than you think. She was 24 at the time of release (25 now) and the movie was over 4 years of her training and then production. You may want to check out Raging Phoenix which is her newest released movie.

Yeah, I hear Raging Phoenix is kinda disappointing.

Re: Chocolate

That may be true but....she's a lot better than Tony Jaa...guy can't act for shit, at least she's much more believable and doesn't have an annoying voice Jaa has.

ooh...I want to see this..I'm just sad to see that some of those shots easily don't hide the physical performance of using wires

Re: Chocolate

I was pretty hyped to see Raging Phoenix after loving Chocolate. Man what a disappointing follow-up. The story was just flat out horrible. I know Prachya Pinkaew's script aren't no masterpiece but they look like the Godfather next to this.

Even the action is only sub-par. It's like they went too far in trying to make inventive and creative moves. Sometimes it works, but other times it's actually a detriment to the flow of the action scenes.

The awesome stunt work of Chocolate (i.e. the infamous villain fall) is missing too. Jeeja does some ok acrobatics in the fight scenes, but nothing with the wow-factor of Chocolate.

Re: Chocolate

That's sad to hear as Chocolate left me wanting to see more of JeeJa Yanin.

Re: Chocolate

I thought Johnny Depp was miscast in this, but Judi Dench was hilarious!
