I was just wondering if it is better to run the front and center channel (as well as the rear, but I have little tiny rears) as large or small?
Current equipment:
Harman Kardon AVR35 receiver
Center: JBL S-CENTER
Front: JBL S-38 Bookshelf
Sub: JBL 8"
Rear: JBL something or another (very small)
Anyway, thanks for any advice...

If you like to listen to your movies at high volumes you're probably better off setting them to small. Doing this will divert most of the bass from these speakers to the sub. This will allow you to turn the volume up without damaging your speakers (hopefully!!). Set it to large and try it out. If it starts to distort around the volume you'd like to listen at, then definitely switch them to small. I've read that if you set the rear speakers to small, you might also want to set the front speakers to small (even if they can handle the bass), because this will give a better surround effect. Good luck!!
