I came to the board to comment on how the new trailer looks so orgasmic but discovered that the thread was closed for some reason. So I make a new thread on this upcoming movie.

Just saw it. I thought the OP was talking about the other trailer which was minus the Kraken. I like the Harryhausen design better. It does look too much like the Cloverfield creature. Was the shroud wearing being who seemed to commanding the scorpions Calibos?

I had originally thought it was the guy Dr. DVD thought it was and looked up who was playing him on IMDB, not listed.
According to wiki he's in it (not exactly reputable), according to every other link I found says the character isn't in the remake. Wiki lists Jayson Fleming playing him, but IMDB has him as Acrisius.

Looks good. Would love to see it have a power metal soundtrack (Blind Guardian, anyone?), but sadly this is probably just temp music and we'll get another orchestral score.
The Kraken looks great. Sort of a turtle head on him.
