Alright guys, i am upto Season 3 episode 9 so please NO SPOILERS for any episodes or seasons after that

Wow it is great to find another unreal show that i had previously never ever seen, this is the 4th such show that i have had the priviledge of watching 5-6 seasons previous unseen in a row (others have been Oz, 24 and Sopranos)

I had heard great things about the Shield. It did take 2-3 episodes to get used to the characters but since then i have been absolutely loving it.

I feel in love with Vic Mackie right from the start and the only reason i know he is going to somehow get out of the scrapes he is in is because without him there is virtually no show. The rest of the cast are great too but Mackie is the key character so far anyway.

Season 1 highlight was definitely Dutchboy turning the tables on the serial killer. All the cops were watching and thought he was getting punked by the killer then the look on their faces as he turned the tables was priceless. Everything strike team is always great.

Season 2 Armadillo storyline was awesome and how he eventually got killed was great. By now Vic's wife is getting on my nerves, what a stupid woman ! The money train robbery was awesome.

So far in Season 3 (i'm upto ep 9 only), the highlight was the Decoy squad (no spoilers if they ever return please) and Acevada being forced to give a blowjob, priceless ! Claudette has been pissing me off this season but i guess Vic always needs an antagonist to play against. The Julian confused sexuality has been the only weak storyline through the seasons. Dutchboy has become my second fav character and man Shane's stupid woman is as annoying as Vic's wife. i actually liked how Acevada's wife first reacted when told about his forced BJ, it's how a lot of guys react when they find out their woman has been raped, they immediately question how she ended up in such a situation to begin with.

What i like so much about this show to date is how well the characters are defined, it is definitely a character based Cop show, not an action based cop show though when they have action scenes they rock. The fight between Shane and is it Teagan (The new black strike team member) was awesome. I'll keep updating this thread with my comments as i work my way though

Vic's wife gets more annoying. Other than that, the show is great all the way through the finale.

Just finished season 3

Loved the last few episodes with The strike team v the Armenian mob. Dog handler girl was cute, shame her and vic didnt end up together. Claudette became more and more a pain in the bum, the ending with the strike force breaking up was interesting. Bring on Season 4 !

Season 4 doesnt seem too popular around here but I loved it. Some tense moments and Glenn Close was fantastic. One of my favorite moments of the series from Season 4, Episode 10:

I almost wish I hadn't seen The Shield just so I could watch it again for the first time.

If you aren't watching Sons of Anarchy now, hopefully you'll have a great 3-4 seasons of it to get on DVD after you're done with The Shield. I think you've already seen the Armenian played by Kurt Sutter, writer for The Shield and creator of Sons of Anarchy.

The thing about Vic is he doesn't truly like or care about anyone he bangs. This really isn't a spoiler, but in a future episode he will bang some chick just to get back at someone who pissed him off.

As for Cathy Cahlin Ryan. I thought she played Corrine really well. The earlier seasons she did a good job playing the naive and unsuspecting wife and the characters evolves to a sometimes annoying hag, which I think is her purpose.

You probably noticed they tried to give Corrine a "Personal Life" outside of Vic and that failed miserably.

I think Corinne would have been fine if it weren't for the medical costs to deal with Michael's autism. I mean damn, she's an ER nurse. Other than shitty hours, she must make pretty decent bank without Vic having to always find cash.

Sons of Anarchy is my fav show and i discovered the Shield from that (love Kurt Sutters work on SOA).

i just finished the episode in season 4 where we find out ROnny has video bugged Shane's car

Now i can't believe Vic didn't keep a copy of the tape of Acevada beating on the gang member last season. that would be perfect insurance against ACevada picking on him like he is doing this season. If the media got hold of that tape, it would be the end of Acevada's political career.
