Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura (new show)

Wednesdays at 10 pm on truTV (formerly Court-TV)

The premiere episode profiled a not-so-secret military project in Alaska called HAARP alleging the weaponizing of radio waves.

I had never heard of this before and it might not have been the best topic for the premiere, but this week he takes on 9/11 conspiracy theories. I know from other interviews that ex-Wrestler/ex-Governor Ventura believes that 9/11 was an inside job. I couldn't disagree more, but this could be an entertaining hour.

There is plenty of potential for future episodes like Obama's birth certificate, who really won the 2000 election, who shot JFK, Roswell, Area 51, global warming, etc

Re: Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura (new show)

Finally got around to watching a bit of Conspiracy Theory. It is now TruTv's most popular show. I love conspiracy theories and found the show to be entertaining and interesting.

However, the show's format only brings on more skeptism. Jesse goes to his "war room" to discuss a game plan for finding out the truth with his soldiers. The whole thing feels completely scripted and staged. Even when Jesse goes to talk to the mother of a 911 victim, it felt fake. She said something like "you go get em, Jesse!"

The show does raise some questions, but here's the problem with all conspiracy theory shows. If the government truly wanted to hide something, do you think they would allow tv shows like this to broadcast?

I've been watching this show but aside from the 9/11 episode the only other one that grabbed my attention was the Bilderberg (aka secret societies) episode. It feels scripted by does present some good info.

Re: Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura (new show)

Show feels far too fake for me. Like the only conspiracy I'm buying is the one where the show producers and writers stage and make-up almost everything. Like when they meet with a "secret inside source" and they show him standing in a shadowed doorway and they shakey-cam it as they walk up to him like the camera is hidden or something and proceed to have 5 different dramatic camera angles on a 30 second talking clip complete with cut aways of Jesse grimacing as his narrating thoughts are always about how he "uncovers secrets much worse then even he originally suspected."

Or maybe the government allows these shows to air knowing that everyone out there will think that if it's allowed on TV it can't be true?

The real question this show raises is how such a credibility-starved community could think it was a good idea to use an ex-wrestler as the face of their movement.

Well, obviously it's a conspiracy between the Dept of Defense and the Freemasons to discredit the entire conspiracist community.

Supposedly this episode on "The Police State" has been removed from the schedule from government pressure. You can watch it here.

Interesting episode, but I think that residential center they are at near Austin is for illegal immigrants and their families. They don't mention that.

It would be funny if there weren't so many people believing his garbage. I have family members who hang on every word this idiot says.
