SyFy Mini-series - "Alice" - (Part 1 - 12/6/09; Part 2 - 12/7/09)
Alice is a two-night mini-series event on SyFy.

Sounds really weird... but I'll give it a go.

The promos for this say...."Introducing Caterina Scarsone", which tells me she is a new actress. She's actually been around for while. She was a guest on Castle, Crash the series and did the Lifetime show Missing for 3 years.
This looks similar to the Wizard of Oz remake from a few years ago with Zooey Deschanel.

So the Alice in Wonderland version of Tin Man? Pass. I'm still waiting for my Lost Room series, SyFy.

To each there own. I liked Tin Man especially the ending where it tied everything together with the original movie.

Eh... I'll give it a shot but I have a feeling I'll give up on it early like I did with Tin Man.

I missed last night on purpose.
We're getting our HD receivers installed on Wed, so I opted to wait until I get SyFy HD and will watch it next weekend.
I enjoyed Tin Man, so I think (from the sounds of it), I'll like Alice.

I've never seen her before but I really like the lead -- in an odd way. I find her face plain as butter but she has a very sexy figure and an alluring personality that comes through on camera.
Another oddity is that I really like the way she runs for some reason. She seems to run with full abandon, arms flailing and on the edge of losing control but always in control. If you know what I mean. Weird.
All in all, an interesting take on Alice.

I watched part 1 last night. Fairly entertaining. Enough that I'll check out part 2 over the weekend. It's nice to see something new and original for a change.

I watched both parts. I thought it was good - although it could have been 3 hrs instead of 4.
I liked the twists the story took.. but the part
I too thought Alice was kind of hot (I still don't know why). However the Dutches
Fun story, and I thought the effects were not that bad for TV

Yeah..way too many commericals in Alice, Me and the wife really liked it, and with Tin man it is a fun group of updated science fiction style on classics.
And I thought Alice was pretty hot as well, I think it has more to do witht he fact that while her face is not that great, the ability of her kicking ass might have done me over lol.

The lead is a handsome woman with strong flanks and fine haunches. If her face is considered plain as butter, i need to buy more butter.
I thought she was a nice change from actresses who all blend together looks wise, and she had moxy both as a character, and what she brought to the character.

I didn't find Tin Man worth watching (Not sure if I even finished that one...I can't recall anything after Kathleen Robertson's boobies sprung some tattooed bats to life.)
But Alice was a fun, enjoyable romp with the three in the promo pic above doing a good turn in their respective roles.
Minus those commercials the original program probably was just about 3hrs.
I busted out laughing in the final hour with

I hated this but liked Tin Man. There were some good spots. I liked the bits with the knight especially the bit about how he became a knight. I liked Alice bent over the desk. Some of the fights with Matrix Agents were ok. Unfortunately everything else was bad. I couldn't really believe the world they setup. The ending wasn't very believable to me. The knight and queen were the only ones with personalities that I think fit the world.

But I agree about Lost Room ... one of the stupidest concepts I have ever heard of, but somehow they made a really great mini-series. Was hoping this would turn into a series as well.

I finished this last night. Not bad. I liked it a bit better than Tin Man.
But one thing I couldn't understand.
They had Alice, Hatter, Mad March, The Tea Mouse, The Carpenter, The Walrus, Oysters, The Dodo, The Queen of Hearts, The White Knight, The Jaberwocky, The Caterpillar, Dinah, The White Rabbit, Dr. Dee and Dr. Dum...
... did I miss the Cheshire Cat?

Enjoyed the show ..... especially enjoyed the performance of Andrew Lee Potts, who was also terrific on the Primeval series.
