I will be going over around 5 this afternoon, this seems to be a better time than last weeks buy a used cd get one free because that one was from opening to 2PM.

/\ Yeah, it's perfect timing for me, too. Also, I think this is the best so far for used DVDs. I remember 30%, even 20% a few weeks back, but B1G1 is going to come in handy tonight.

Here is a tip ,if you find 2 dvds and they are both priced at $7.99 or lets say $9.99 just bring those two to the register.
Don't bring 10 DVDs (the limit) to the cashier because what they will do is add up the 5 DVDs that are the most $$$ and give you the free ones that are cheaper.
This happened last week some guy in front of me was buying 10 cds and he got in an argument with the cashier cause they were ringing up all the $9.99 ones and he was getting the cheap ones $3.99 and the like for free.
So you kinda have to limit yourself to 2 DVDs unless everything you buy is $4.99/$5.99 but Newburys used prices are a little on the high side to start with.

Not bad especially The Untouchables ....for the rest it works out to around $3 a movie when you figure in tax.

Glad to knock a lot of these titles off my 'want' list, and especially finish off my wife's Kids in the Hall collection, and pick up the Spider-Man '67 Collection. Spent way more than I intended, but very happy with my purchases.

I was surprised a how little traffic this sale generated ,at the Avon store when we left around 7:30 it was pretty empty ...they told most customers about the sale as they entered the store and most were unaware of the deal.

Even the Norwood store was not that busy,but we did leave around 5:30.

I also was surprised they included box sets.

You're right about the how little traffic there was in the stores. I went to North Attleboro, Natick, and Shrewsbury, and there weren't any signs anywhere about the deal. That, of course, worked to my benefit, when I would go to the register with 2 expensive DVDs, act surprised when they told me about the deal, and then say I'll take another look after they finished the expensive transaction, only to return with cheap DVDs.

It was pretty busy at the Newbury Street and Harvard Square locations. A lot of people knew about the sale, it seemed.

I picked up Night of the Hunter and Slumdog Millionaire (Blu) for $10.61 total.

Damn! I'm pissed I wasn't able to make it off island in time. I called the Hyannis store, but they wouldn't honor the sale for me on the phone.

Really wish I could have gone to this, but I had class until 4:30 yesterday. Wish they had an all day sale...

The sale was from 5 PM to closing time which is usually 10:00 PM (maybe 9:30
depending on your location?)

Like I said in an earlier post I thought this was a much more convenient time than the previous
CD sale which ran from store opening 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
