Pretty good for a filler. Ending was great.

- Clark stops bullets Returns-style.
- Tess owns Zod.
- Clark and Lois kiss.

Next week should be great.

You go, Clark!

I like how they introduced Cat Grant into the mix.

The garish yellow/red stylings of Mia in her street walking outfit was a nice nod to her future as Speedy (Green Arrow's sidekick in the comics).

I guess Millar/Gough was holding this show back all these years. It hasn't been great but it has been solid since their departure. Much easier to watch on a weekly basis and hell, I'm actually anticipating the next episode for a change.

Is it me or are there a lot of fight clubs in Metropolis?

For filler, a pretty good episode.

I liked this one start to finish. Interested to see how the Kandorian thing plays out. I hope they haven't abandoned the story with Lois' trip to the future haunting her.

I'm sort of bored of the Kandorian krap.

Re: Smallville -- "Crossfire" -- 10/30/09

Love this season...

They are doing what "Lios and Clark" did so many years ago, they are following the comics (to some degree) - A world full of "Supermen from Krypton".

The story lines are more mature and they seem more "Real World" (if thay is possible).

Moving the romance with Lois along much faster than they did with Lana. I really believe they learned from the past and will not make the same mistake again. I am loving this version of Lios, she seems to fit Clark perfectly.

...Clark is finally being Super and it looks great. Stopping the bullet by just plucking it out of the air with his two fingers and almost looked bored doing it!

Last years Smallville wanted to be great, but it kept on falling short. This year started great and setup to even get better.

I liked this episode as well. Alot of the interactions between Lois and Clark reminded me of the old ABC series Lois and Clark, especially the chemistry and sexual tension they have developed. I have really enjoyed the writers stepping up and making them the core of the show.

I rather enjoyed the introduction of Speedy. They chose a cute actress to play her.

Loved Tess basically giving Zod the middle finger in the final scene.

Not much action in this episode but it was still very entertaining. Lots of character building. I'm kinda disappointed the morning show didn't pan out. As Lois said, print has limited appeal these days and this would have been a great spin on the Lois and Clark lore.

Yeah but Lois would be there by herself lots of times with the Blur running off doing his thing.

That's what I would think would be interesting to see. Does Clark restrain himself on camera and not go rushing off, or risk his job to catch a mugger? I dunno, I'm sure the writers could have done something if they really applied themselves.

What another great episode!

-- I must have missed something, because I did not realize blondie was Cat Grant
-- I thought the Ollie storyline was a good parallel to his downfall, but seemed a little forced. I guess it ties into GA lore that I was not aware of, so I guess that fits.
-- Did hacker boy just meet his dream girl? I'm a little surprised Clark is okay with Chloe's methods.
-- Tess and Zod are great. He is super pissed! Do you think she had some kryptonite laying around, or was really in on him with a backup plan?
-- Talk about a brilliant and relevant twist by taking a Luthor Corp green project and turning it into a "yellow" project for Kryptonians!

I think the only thing that would have made it better would have been for Lois to have another flash in the middle of kissing Clark and run out of the room in horror.

Does Kryptonite even affect them if they dont have powers?

Re: Smallville -- "Crossfire" -- 10/30/09

That's a good question. If it doesn't I assume Tess could always have overpowered the guy.

Isn't that Krypton girl from the premier going to have to pop back up again? After all her intent was to kill Lois and prevent the future. I am confident that the writers will address this in a good manner, since the building in Tess' green plan appears to be the same that was in Lois' flash forwards.
