CSI Trilogy Crossover 11/09/2009
Just in time for November (?) sweeps comes a CSI trilogy crossover event! CSI's Dr. Ray Langston, played by Lawrence Fishburne, will first guest star on the November 9th episode of CSI Miami when someone who went missing in Vegas shows up in Miami. And then on the November 11th episode of CSI NY, Langston continues to investigate the case in New York. And then the storyline will wrap up on the November 12th episode of CSI when Langston returns to Las Vegas.
Saw the trailer for this the other night. I thought the CSI franchise introduced Miami & NY pretty well, integrating them with already existing CSI's, so I'm really looking forward to this week of episodes. I think I'll DVR the and then watch them back to back.

If William Petersen were still the star, this never would have happened.
Fans of the movie "King Of New York" will get a kick out of seeing Fishburne and Caruso together, after all they did try to kill each other!

Is it really that awful to watch a couple extra shows? My schedule is light this year so I don't mind it so much. I don't hate the other two shows, I just don't actively watch them.
William Peterson sends his regards from the sets of Without a Trace and CSI Miami.

Yes. For one, I have a ton of shows being recorded on Mondays and I try to watch MNF live. Then, Wednesdays are also packed for me, so I have to try to find space for that shit. I might just not record either and watch CSI clueless as to the rest of what was going on.

That's true, I know it's completely backwards schedule-wise but it would make more sense for CSI fans to start the arc on Vegas and continue it to the other two shows.

You can always watch Miami and NY online and then watch CSI later off your DVR.

Re: CSI Trilogy Crossover 11/09/2009
Petersen hated (and still does) the idea of Miami and NY, and wanted nothing to do with either one - so much so that when Miami was being started up, he turned down a crapload of money to be an executive producer of it, similar to his position with the original CSI. Miami had to start up using one episode of his show but he wasn't directly involved (notice it was Catherine and Warrick who went to Miami instead) and they never crossed over again. However, Miami and NY have crossed over twice.
Without A Trace isn't part of the CSI franchise and therefore doesn't count because it wasn't the crossover that he had a problem with, it was the idea of CSI being a franchise. He was no longer part of this special, unique series as it was diluted by Miami and NY.
So Mr. Petersen doesn't send his regards, but more of a middle finger to Horatio Caine and Mac Taylor.
