Last thread there was talk of a Halloween costume. Is that this episode, or is there another next week?

Love the cast and the banter between Castle and Kate/daughter/mother/the two dudes is fantastic, but the cases are relatively boring. I think last week's was the first I want somewhat interested in. I couldn't even tell you what this week's was about and I just watched it a couple hours ago.

Anyway, I can't wait for next week's "Mal" episode!

This was the first case that was a bit off to me. I had to rewind with a "WHAT?" feeling as the dude described taking the baby. However, I still loved the show and found it better than anything else on TV.

And I fucking joygasmed seeing the trailer for next week. I saw Firefly 'Jaynestown' right after while working out.

Actually I thought it was realistic. The real father at that point could have sued to get his son back. The mother was in a terrible position of having just lost her husband to prison and having the very real possiblity of losing her child too. She pretty much was at his mercy and if all he was asking for was to see his son occassionally and just getting to know him a bit she sure as hell was going to let him come by to see him. Especially if the police (Kate) would be there to ensure there was no trouble. I imagine that the first few visits would be supervised in that manner to see how he interacted with the child and if the mother could get along with the real father. After he visited a few times she would ask him to sign over his parental rights and then cut him out of their lives forever.

Re: Castle -- "When the Bough Breaks" -- 10/19/09

I loved the method of how they got Castle to stay with Beckett. For him to turn down writing that certain British spy just to stay with her to write another book would have seemed out of character, but since he was offered a boatload of money to do another 3 books, it makes it seem more believable. He's not staying to be with her, he's staying because of the dollars. Makes it seem better since it is in his own interest.
