Bones -- "The Bond in the Boot" -- 9/24/09

Bones

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The murder of a secret agent spawns a spook-filled investigation that may lead Brennan and Booth to the top of the CIA. Meanwhile, the Jeffersonian team is in danger of losing an intern to a lack of funding, and the success of Brennan's latest book irks Booth.

I like Bones alot and thought the premiere was pretty good. However, this is getting relegated to Friday viewing when I got time since Thursday's are ridiculous.

Fun episode. Love the bond references. And Wendell and currently my fave Zack replacement so far.

The issues of money seemed really weird in this ep. Bones has been an author since before ep 1, yet now, 5 years into the partnership and suddenly her money is viewed as an issue with Booth.

When you combine this with Wendell's problems, it's even more bizarre. I was sitting there thinking "Hmmm... which MULTI-millionaire will be able to help him out. It was also completely unrealistic that he was getting kicked out immediately. Sure, the scholarship dried up, but I'm certain the university would give him time to earn money on his own... like non-scholarship people do.

With that said, this was probably one of the more interesting cases in a long time. Some interesting characters and yes, the Bond references were fun.
