DVD Talk review of 'High Crimes' (Blu-ray)

I read Jason Bailey's DVD review of High Crimes at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=38398 and...

Good review. I'm a huge Carl Franklin fan. But I have to respectfully disagree about your comment on "One True Thing". Not only was the film critically acclaimed (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/one_true_thing/), but it also earned Meryl Streep yet another Oscar nomination. It was one of the most moving movies I have ever seen. I remember reading somewhere that someone gave Franklin the script and he read it on a long distance flight, and he cried like a baby. And because it touched him so deeply, he said he just had to direct it. I think it's a terrific film. And everyone turned in memorable performances.
