I posted this in the thread in the Blu-ray Bargains area, but thought I should put it here too so any standard DVD owners won't miss this news:
Best Buy stores currently have a Monsters Vs Aliens ad flyer/"childen's activity" handout at their registers that has a $4 off coupon attached to it that is valid from 9/29 to 10/3 only on the Double DVD pack or the Blu-ray edition....that would bring the double DVD pack down to only $15.99 (same price as the single disc), or the BD to $21.99 before sales tax....

I see that NFS Shift is on sale for $39.99. I bought it for $59.99 with the Logitech wheel for $19.99 last week. I wonder if there is any way they would price adjust the game down to $39.99? Any guesses?

If they are listed completely seperately on the receipt, it should work. If they are bundled together with some *************** lines (or similar), I believe it will prorate some of the package discount to each item. This info may already be on the receipt and you'll have to do the math to see if it's worth it.

I saw some of those coupons in the Ontario store off 4th st near the Mills. It was on a rack hanging from the normal rack where they usually put the "Insider" thingies (hope that makes sense...)

Ad price for "MvA" 2 pack is $19.99 but if you do an in-store pickup it's $22.99. Yet the Blu-ray ad price is $25.99 and the in-store pickup price is only $22.99. WTH?!?

A story that starts out weird, but ends up favorable:
On Sunday, I went to pre-order How I Met Your Mother Season 4 for $24.99, since it was $3 cheaper online than in-store. However, when I went to put it in my cart, my sub-total was $104.99. I decided to wait until yesterday to try it again.
This time, my sub-total is correct, but I can't do in-store pickup.
I didn't have time to try it again this morning before school, so I stopped in after class and grabbed the last copy. I checked the online price on one of the computers before going up to the register and it is still $24.99. I told the cashier what had happened and that the website was showing $24.99 and she price overrode it. I paid for it and was on my way. Woohoo!

One time I looked something up on the computer right there in the store and it had a cheaper price online than in-store. But the oh-so-friendly employees at the service counter would NOT simply override it. So I went back to the in-store computer, placed an online order for in-store pickup, and walked back up to the service desk (same employee) with my printout and the item. I win!

I don't know what happened but the Public Enemies Blu-Ray with the Batman figure seems to have sold out in record time. All my local stores were sold out after work according to the one I checked and the Best Buy web site. I expand it to about 20 Best Buys and there are less than 5 that show it in stock, and most of them are way out of the way or recently opened Best Buys. I thought I could easily saunter in this evening and grab it since the Green Lantern figurine with the last movie is still sitting in the store as I write this. Oh well. The store I went to was one of the only ones sold out of the DVD edition with the figure so that one is still pretty available.
