Favorite Series Finale.
I culled from a couple older threads and tried to take a best possible cross section from genres and lists from other sites to get a full poll.
I think "Six Feet Under" will most likely take the prize, but there have to be others that some are more passionate about. i never watched "Will & Grace" but i actually loved the finale and actually teared up.
"Cheers" is my all-time favorite show and for me, the series finale didn’t disappoint. I thought Sam saying “Sorry, we’re closed” and fixing Coach’s pic was just perfect. I did love SFU and cried like a baby, but "Cheers" is the culmination for me.

Hmm, out of the ones mentioned my favorite would probably be "Angel". It's been such a long time since I saw the finale of "The Wonder Years" but I remember tearing up.
But in the end, I can rewatch the finale of Angel and still enjoy it. It was pitch perfect!

just taped and watched it today for the first time. Loved it. I only watched "Angel" S1, maybe little of 2 and then gave it up. With the thread "something something episodes that got you emotional" i watched some eps. of S5 that have just played on TNT. Loved "You're Welcome" and "Smile Time" . then watched the finale today and loved it.

It was a tough choice between 6FU, Cheers and The Shield. I think all three did a great job wrapping up the series. But 6FU probably did it best.

I'm a fan of the finale, but it divided the audience (not surprisingly).

I haven't seen hardly any of the other shows, but I doubt anyone has seen everything on the list, so I don't feel so bad for voting.
The Sopranos. It's my favorite show, and I just love the ending. I know there aren't many, but it was gutsy, and perfect.
second would be Six Feet Under. I loved the first season, and didn't regain interest until the end. It was a perfect way to end the series. I just didn't think the series was that special, so it doesn't get my vote.
does Freaks and Geeks count?

Newhart will always be the best, IMO.
The Sopranos finale I am still mad at, as it has turned into a punchline.
Cheers had a cool last minute with Sam, but overall the episode was pretty lame.
I like Seinfeld's finale, but most people I know DETEST it.

I only watched a handful of those shows, but if I had to pick one, it was ST: TNG, slightly edging Cheers.

I think my favourite on that list would be Angel. I absolutely adored the finale and the moments leading up to it. It was stellar and really ended the show with a bang. The resolution was great and the performances were top-notch. And I liked how it set up for the future should they continue in another medium (as they have in the Angel: After The Fall comic book series, for example).
I remember really being sad when The Wonder Years ended and enjoying the finale immensely, but it has been such a long time that I really can't recall it well enough to compare it to ones that I can remember perfectly (Arrested Development, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Seinfeld, etc.)
I'd have to give runner-up for my favourite to Seinfeld. I know a lot of people hated it, but I thought it was fantastic. Great cameos/guest spots, nice to see everyone come together, the trial was hilarious, and the ending was great. Looking forward to the "reunion" starting this Sunday on Curb.

Six Feet Under is my all time favorite, followed very closely by Babylon 5. I'm also fond of the TNG and Brisco County Jr finales.

Six Feet Under, Seinfeld, or Cheers. Never really understood why most people seem to hate the Seinfeld finale but I liked it personally. Six Feet Under and Cheers really don't need much explanation they were both just great endings to great shows.
