Solomon Kane
Looks interesting. Good cast.
Plot: The first part in a trilogy series, "Solomon Kane" is an epic adventure adapted from the classic pulp stories by Robert E. Howard, creator of "Conan the Barbarian." Solomon Kane (James Purefoy) is a 16th Century soldier who learns that his brutal and cruel actions have damned him. Determined to redeem himself, Kane swears to live a life of peace and goodness but is forced to fight once more when a dark power threatens the land.
Directed by Michael J. Bassett, starring James Purefoy, Max von Sydow, Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige, Mackenzie Crook

If it is any good at all (and it looks like it may be) it will rock so hard.
Robert E. Howard was genius and anything the man ever wrote would kick all kinds of ass on screen.

Re: Solomon Kane
I agree, Conan, Kull, Bran Mak Morn and Solomon Kane were all great reads. That trailer makes me want to see Red Nails with that kind of production value.

Re: Solomon Kane
I just saw the trailer pop up and came here to see if anybody had posted about it. Looks like I was just a tad behind. Interestingly Wiki says Christopher Lambert was offered the role earlier in the decade when the project was first getting off the ground.
You beat me to it. Apparently the budget is realtively small as well. If this does well it could be a huge success.

I sat through the Comic-Con panel for this movie while waiting for another one. I'd never heard of it but thought it looked pretty good if you're into that kind of movie. Not sure if I'd see it but it did spark some interest.

Wow. This looks totally badass. Can't wait to see it. And Dr. DVD is right, this what Van Helsing should have been. And I say that as someone that didn't hate that movie.
