I'm looking to compile a list of films that are not politically correct and probably would not be able to be made today. I've seen all 3 of these and they're not deliberately racist like pre-1940's movies. The "Boss/Charlie" movies are just modest blaxploitation movies with a western setting. (Although I should point out that the "N" word is used in these movies an awful lot) and "My Baby is Black" is a french film where the subject matter is treated with respect. The distributed title just makes you think otherwise.

I wonder: when's the last time a "good" white character used the n-word in a film? Nowadays, if a white character says that it's a lazy way to show the audience that he or she is eeeeeeeeeeeeevil.

Note: I'm not counting characters that later reformed, like in American History X.

While that may be true, I know many people that find it particularly offensive. And no, I doubt it could be made today without some kind of uproar over the use of the N word.

Which is too bad, as it is one of the funniest movies ever made.
