Good fast and fun fighting game? (PS3)
Sorry for the generic description - I'm looking for a good, fast, fun 2-play offline fighting game (anything else is a bonus, but I want a game that's fun to play offline and not something that relies on online modes).
I have Tekken: Dark Resurrection which is fun, but it's starting to get a bit tiring and I'd like something faster. I really like the GuiltyGear titles (PS2/PSP), Bleach (PSP), DOA (XBox/360) and Soul Calibur, but the ones I've tried so far just seem slow and take a lot of time to "master" and get certain combinations down. I'd like a quick, pick-up-and-play game. I did search around but came across all sorts of games that I didn't even know existed for the PS3. Most of the recommendations (like MvsC) just aren't what I'm looking for. Is there anything similar to the above titles?

I was really looking forward to SF4 when I saw the original trailers, but looking at it now, it just doesn't really interest me any longer. I never cared for the SF series, so I'm not sure why I was interested in this one at some point.
BlazBlue looks like it might be the one - I'll have to check that out. I like the style, craziness and speed of it. I don't see it on Best Buy's website, and I was looking to pick up a couple games during the BOGO50% sale.
As for the dreamcast - it's still to this day my all time favorite console. I think it got left behind in the move along with all of my games for it. I really need to go back and get it.

Going by your own words as to what you're looking for, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is exactly what you're looking for!
