Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
(Also I was talking more just DLC as it didn't mention anything about pulling out the RB2 tracks. Oh also I was kind of joking anyway. )

I know.
But exporting to the hard drive is so it can be played in other games and has nothing to do with this game reading other files.

I know.
But you do realize that exporting from game A has nothing to do with game A reading exported songs, right? That seemed to be your logic.
I'm sorry I'm pissy... It's already one of those fucking days.

Isn't Lego Rock Band rated E and Rock Band 2 rated Teen? Hence all of the DLC is rated Teen as well. That might be a reason why you can't play DLC in Lego Rock Band. Stupid ratings system.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
Good point about the ratings that I always forget about. That's actually probably why it won't happen. Bummer. If I can rent the game early, play through Lego and then export them to my HD I don't really see any reason for me to actually own Lego RB.

I'm sure you're joking again, but I'll play along.
RB1 copied the tracks from the disc onto the hard drive. It created 55 game files on the hard drive you could keep or remove at will. This was an export.
All the other track pack discs (ac/dc, vol 2, classic rock, country) have not done this, but rather downloaded a single file from the servers that contains all the tracks.
Presumably, LRB (since it'll be larger than the track packs) will export like RB1 did.

You could say it's an off day, and I prefaced it saying I was playing into it...
But I don't see what answering your question has to do with me knowing about your mental condition.

While you guys joke about the LRB import/export stuff, I really had never heard any of that before, so thanks for explaining it, pinata.

Thanks....for the first time EVER work seems to be the better option than talking to people on a message board. My employer appreciates your efforts.

To each his own, but IMHO the iPhone is the worst platform yet for this game. You just can't replicate this without the instruments.

Agreed. i was playing RB:Unplugged on my PSP yesterday and after playing it many times and after half a dozen downloaded songs, I have finally come to the conclusion that RB:U is just not much fun. I can't imagine what it would be like for the iPhone or the DSi.

Ace of Spades? Fuck yeah! I've been wondering how long before I could play that song anywhere I want.
I'd like to see an app that can keep track of your stats and song purchases. Of all the games I have on my phone I play 0 with sound. A mobile RB doesn't sound too appealing.
