Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

Ugh, i am really starting to hate walmart in my area. I went this morning and it seems their blu selection is getting worse and worse each time I go. Another walmart down the road also only has one rack of movies with about 10-12 movies in total. Its getting pretty lame around here.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

i can confirm those LG releases are also $10. I also saw that the older LG releases they had have dropped down to $8 (Near Dark, Monsters Squad, Cujo, etc)

They also had ALOT of 2 pack blurays ranging from $10-$20.

$10 - Mortuary/Salvage
$14.99 - Saw 1 & 2
$20 - Walking Tall/The Marine, The Robe/Passion of the Christ, and ALOT more.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

Where were the 2-packs located at, in relation to other stuff?

How about "The Last Kiss"?

Going to try and find both of those tonight.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

The Last Kiss was on the side of an "end cap."

I wish I was able to take a photo, but most of the Wal-Mart near me has little racks hanging off the end-caps with more BD titles that aren't specifically carried on the shelf. Nothing exciting (or titles I already owned) and I remember someone mentioning on another forum they picked up Last Kiss at WM for $5. Scanned the BD and it was indeed $5.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

Hit a third walmart today while on the road and sure enough they had the new titles... behind the counter in a box. They had only 2 of each of the $10 lionsgate titles in a new box. I asked why they werent on the shelves and they said people steal the blu's and they dont put them out so thats why they have so little in store around here. Yes, walmart is ghetto in most of the area but come on... pull a target and ues the annoying clamshell security devices then if your so worried. Thankfully I was able to get a copy of Running Man for $10.

Yep, that, also The Phatom and two others. I also saw a lot of the $10 BDs were now $8, so that's pretty sweet.

Yes, Running Man, Hard Rain, Phantom and Drop Zone are all $10 at Walmart starting today. Only saw 2 copies each though at my store so you may have to hunt for it.

Couldn't find "The Last Kiss," but I did pick up the "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer"/"Daredevil" (Director's Cut) 2-pack for $19.96.

My Wal-Mart also had these following double-pack Blu-rays.

Lionsgate $14.98 titles:

- Saw I / Saw II
- Universal Soldier / Total Recall

Anchor Bay / Starz $19.98 titles:
- Children of the Corn / Hellraiser
- Hellboy (animated titles)
- Last Chance Harvey / Mad Money
- Righteous Kill / Traitor

Fox $19.98 titles:
- 28 Days Later / From Hell
- Antwone Fisher / Men of Honor
- Behind Enemy Lines / Rescue Dawn
- Broken Arrow / Navy Seals
- Bulletproof Monk / Kiss of the Dragon
- Carrie / Child's Play
- Cast Away / Master and Commander
- Hoosiers / Rocky
- I, Robot / Robotcop
- Me, Myself & Irene / There's Something About Mary

There are some others, but too blurry with my iPhone camera to make out. One pack included Pathfinder and another contained Commando.

Still no Saw III / IV / V triple-pack. If anyone finds one and is willing to ship it out, I'll pay you back.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

I only picked up Phantom and Running Man (have no interest in Drop Zone or Hard Rain) for $10 each. However, if Amazon can price match, I'm all over: The Arrival, Crank, and Way of the Gun in regards to the $8.00 titles.

The only two-packs that are of any interest to me are the Total Recall / Universal Soldier and Carrie / Child's Play. However, reviews haven't been that good on most of them.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

Too bad none of the Wal MArts in this area have much of a selection. You're lucky if there are 30 - 40 movies total to choose from. I just use Walmart.com to price and have BB pricematch.

Try checking Wal-Mart this week. Out of the three Wal-Marts I have been to in the past twenty four hours, all have been overhauling their Blu-ray selection (along with their DVDs).

The Wal-Mart I found the deals at now has an entire area devoted to catalog BDs and another section devoted to new releases. Another one has an entire aisle devoted to BDs and then even more BDs alongside the HDTVs.

The WalMart by me has Blu-rays in 3 different areas. I don't get it.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

The WalMart near me was also rearranging the movie section. Very few Blu-rays to be seen in genaral, and none of the new Lionsgate titles. Was disappointed because I want Running Man.

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

My Walmart is also reorganizing their movies right now. They weren't finished with it yet so I didn't even bother looking over at everything since not even half the movies were out, but I did see places for many of these deals. They said to check back in a day or two.

Well, surprisingly even though my Wal Mart never got in the Saw triple pack, they did have most of the 2-packs listed...

Re: $10 Blu-rays @ Wal-Mart

I picked up Phantom, Drop Zone, Universal Soldier / Total Recall, & Romancing the Stone / Jewel of the Nile tonight. I couldn't bring myself to double dip Running Man or Hard Rain even tho I love both films.
