Big Love
So I recently did a blind buy and am so happy I did. I am hooked on this show. Does it continue to be this good? Also, what season are they on now? I would like to possibly catch up before the next one begins.

Re: Big Love
This past season, season 3 was not only the best season of the show, but IMO the best season of any drama since Sopranos season one. It was short (10 episodes), but absolutely flawless.

Beware: This show will turn you into a monogamist. You will know longer fantasize about having multiple woman.
Other than that, it's a great show.

Since I am a woman I don't have to worry about that aspect! I really love the relationships between the three wives. I like how they sometimes have conflict with each other but when it comes to family they are always there for each other. I would have to say as of right now my favorite character is Margene. I think the acting from everyone is superb. Just bought the second season and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

This is one of my favorites. It is amazing just how uncomfortable watching a show can make you. Season 3 was fantastic. And they really made some great story leads for season 4.
And I always enjoy seeing Cutthroat Bitch ever since she was on House.

+1 The delay is horrible. The thing that annoys me most about that is the kids are going to grow up too fast. In The Sopranos there were only two, but there are so many more that make up a large part of the series that it could be troublesome. (Like where was Teeny most of last season!?!?)

Next year HBO intends to air Big Love in January and roll out its highly anticipated World War II miniseries The Pacific in March. The war epic will eventually serve as lead-in for Treme, the New Orleans drama from David Simon. Flight of the Conchords will also likely return, with executives making a third season sound very probable.

I am almost done with season 2 and just preordered season 3. It doesn't get released until December 22. That is way too long to wait! I have been enjoying this show so much. It does keep getting better and better with every episode. Loved the episode I watched last night where Nikki was playing Bingo for the first time and won. The look on her face when she called out BINGO was worth a rewind. As someone wrote in an older thread this show combines creepiness with comedy. Love it.

Reading all these comments is making me reconsider watching this show again. I watched season 1 not long ago and it wasn't quite what I was expecting and I found it to be a bit of a chore to get through all the episodes. I do like some aspects of the show but hate others especially the character of Nikki who just gets on my last nerve about every time she's in a scene. Might pick up season 2 while its still on sale this week and see if it gets any better.

You can expect Nikki to have a lot of scenes. I think she is a great character. The only character I don't care for that much is Ben. He always looks like he is going to cry.

Re: Big Love
Nikki's character is such a pain in the ass. I love to hate her, but to be honest, the actress who plays her must be damned good because I hate her so much. I think they want you to have bad feelings for Nikki since she is almost always doing something so bad or mean. This is one of the best on TV now and possibly ever. The story is never boring or slow.
