I actually really liked the first 2/3 of Knowing, but the ending was SO bad I'm not sure I want to own it.

Was Push any good?

That's pretty good. Considering that I LOVED Knowing, one of the most underrated films this year and one of the most thought-provoking ones, I may bite on it....however, Push is a different story. I haven't seen it yet but I have heard bad things about it. I didn't even hear a good thing from that movie. At least Knowing had some great reviews, like a 4/4 from Roger Ebert.

ditto on Knowing. i hated the ending. I think though, it's one of those love it or hate it type of endings. to me, it's a rent it type of movie, cuz i would never watch it again.

^ I can't imagine anyone liking the last part. Ebert gave it 4/4, really? But I did really enjoy the first parts, it surprised me, didn't notice much hype on it, and wasn't expecting much going into it. I'll probably end up getting it someday to watch the first 2/3 and come up with my own ending.

Edit to add: This whole time I was assuming the deal was for the blu-ray versions. Definitely out now.

I rented the blu version of Push and thought it was much better than expected. I would be interest if it was the blu version. The visual look is especially impressive.

I felt the same way about Knowing. I thought it was interesting in the beginning but it unraveled towards the end.

I liked Push but it's not something I would buy. If you haven't seen it yet I would not recommend it as a blind buy.

If I recall, Ebert also loved Lakeview Terrace, which I though was a POS. So I stopped reading whatever he had to say.

IF this deal was for BD, I'd take it. Both movies were pretty mediocre in my eyes, and I wouldn't pay much for them, if anything. Knowing had a great start but the ending just killed it for me. Push wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

I'll just wait for these to hit the $5-$7 bins this fall.

I guess you didn't pay attention to who exactly it was that posted this deal (aka Mr. I Hate Blu-ray).....

Re: AMAZON.com KNOWING AND PUSH = $20.98

For those who hated the ending (which is like 99.9% on this thread, excluding me), how did you guys wanted the movie to end? I'm curious. There was no other way it could end. The way it ended, IMO, was perfect.

Please don't discuss the movie endings in bargain threads. A lot of people in the bargain forum (like me) are buying it to watch for the first time.

Actually, I thought the ending was the best part. I thought it was getting too weird, but once it arrived at the ending, it made more sense to me. It was thought provoking. But I can see how you have to have a certain belief to really like it. I won't explain my meaning, here, though.
