Star Trek Blu-ray audio issues
I guess it's being hinted that I posted this int he wrong forum originally, so I'll re-post it here.
I can't imagine this not having been discussed here, but I could not find anything with a search. Does anyone know why the audio for the enhanced audio version of the episodes on the Star Trek The Original Series Blu-ray are out of sync much of the time? If it's a setting issue, I can't find anything that affects it. Is there an answer to the problem?
Also, while I'm here, is there any way to turn off the 'angle' icon every time there is a toggleable effects enhancement?

What player are you using? I've watched about half the episodes and they seem in sync on my PS3 and there is no angle button, but on my LG the angle button is always there (I haven't found a setting to disable it) and the sound did go out of sync on one episode, but I was able to fix it by pausing and unpausing.

Re: Star Trek Blu-ray audio issues
I have the LG BD370. There is no angle button on the remote, but there is an angle function through the display menu... not very convenient I must say. Hard to actually 'toggle', but the angle option icon appears all the time when there is an effect that's been modified... great when you want it, but annoying if you just want to watch the show. The syncing issue is inconsistent. Some episode seem okay, others are pretty bad, and only on the enhanced audio, multich dts.

Pausing and unpausing didn't really work, but scanning backwards for a couple of seconds seemed to re-sync the audio. Very annoying. Does anyone know if this is an issue with the Blu-ray unit, or the way the disks were made? Either way, is there anything I can do to avoid it? Also, I've looked all over the disk and unless I'm missing something, I can't find a way to turn off the 'angle' icon.

No audio issues for me when viewing with enhanced effects.
It sounds like a player issue. You have to go through your player setup to see if there is a problem. Perhaps it might even be the firmware.

Re: Star Trek Blu-ray audio issues
Well, I've only had the machine for a week and I updated the firmware the night I got it. I guess I'll contact LG tech support. It's obviously not solely a problem of mine since the first response, darkside, stated the same problem and pausing as a fix, and the unit is an LG also. Thanks for the help, I'll post what I learn.
