Please... I earn those in the bedroom.
Nah, I just figured with SoA starting up it was as good a time as any. Plus I'm fully willing to update the first post every week.
And the other thread was twice as long as the other forums allow already, for whatever that's worth.

Tried the Monkey Island demo. The kids were NUTS about it. My little boy loves pirates. That was enough of a response for me to buy it. It's nice having a game I can play with them.

Is anyone else having a problem with the Monkey Island game not filling there hd screen. I get a black boarder about a inch thick around the screen, and there is no way to adjust it in settings.

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 P
I played the Monkey Island demo and liked it enough to buy it. I don't know what happened, but it didn't recognize that I had purchased the full version until I quit to the dashboard and then restarted it. Just a heads up.
I love old adventure games but somehow never played a Monkey Island game, so I am really happy to have an easy way to play it, and the HD art are voicework are certainly noteworthy benefits.

Mine filled the screen perfectly. I like that you can hit the BACK button and see the original game. Good for a quick nostalgia fix.

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
I just want to get home to check out Monkey Island. Debated just flat out purchasing it this morning but just in case I went with the demo first. Didn't get to check it out at all yet though.
Second the Shadow Complex drool. If that thing is on display at the Xbox SDCC booth I will be a sad sight.

The guy who didn't see the black border probably has an overscan option turned on for his tv or he is using a CRT which natively has a large amount overscan usually.

I picked up Monkey Island on 360. I tried it out and liked the interface. Now I'm down to 1200 points for Shadow Complex.

Wow, going to be an expensive few weeks for me.
Picked up both Ikaruga and Monkey Island today.
Due to the video Corvin posted, I'm definitely picking up Splosion Man (if for nothing else, due to the control mapping screen).
Then Shadow Complex goes without saying.
Not to mention I bought a bunch of VC stuff on the Wii last week. The worst part is, I cannot even look at an unplayed game pile because it's all on my systems!

I posted in the deals thread this morning but thought I would mention it here since we are all gonna spend a lot soon. Target is having a deal next week when you buy a 1600 point card you get a $5 giftcard so if you need more points and don't want to go the ebay route this is a good time to pick up some.

I'm torn on TMNT, too. I remember getting it for the SNES and promptly beating it my first go. It was fun, but just not a real challenge at all. I did love tossing the foot into the camera, though.

Ya, my brother played through Turtles in Time at least 10 times after I got it one summer. It really wasn't that challenging, at least on normal. I don't know if I want to put another $15 into it.

I think the art/graphics for the new Turtles game look like shit.
I'm dead serious when I say that it looked way better on the arcade/snes than it does on the 360:
Sure, the new one will have much better animation, but it better have an option to play with the old graphics.

Yeah the TMNT remake totally destroys the old character designs of the enemies. The recent video showing the fight with Metalhead is saddening, the remake looks nothing like the original design.
