I haven't watched this yet and just heard about it - but when I was a kid, my cousin and me made a movie called TREE MONSTERS, which I have been planning on remaking one day - guess I was too late!

As someone who has had a fear of Christmas trees from a young age, this short really hit home. Genuinely scary stuff.
