Futurama vol. 1-3 at walmart $15/each

Just thought I'd post this up. I saw at walmart this weekend that futurama vol.1-3 were $15/each. Not sure how long it lasts or if it's at all walmarts, but this seemed like a good deal to me.

I can confirm that. Been that price around here for over a year. I recently picked up S3 just before inventory as the shelf markings indicated it would be removed from stock but S4 would not. It happened just the opposite... S3 stayed in stock but S4 was removed from the shelves... I should have purchase S4 first... Oh well, there's always the DD sale...

Just a tip for next time, you might want to add the price in the title. Welcome to the forum.

FYI, these seem to be the slim set version instead of the thicker ones I picked up at the price a while back. However, I don't think they are different.

re: Futurama vol. 1-3 at walmart $15/each

I've seen all 4 of these repackaged volumes and I'd like to pick them up, but I'm wondering if they include all the materials from the previously released cardboard boxed editions. Does anybody know? I'm inclined to believe that they might have the same disc/video content, but are there any other extras that may have been left out (like a booklet or something), to accommodate the smaller packaging?

Anyway, chime in if you know, thanks!

The discs are identical. The only thing about them I'm not crazy about it the lack of episode description, it only list the episode names.

Thanks for the info, WD. So did the original boxed editions contain some sort of summary for each episode?

Re: Futurama vol. 1-3 at walmart $15/each

Not really. Basically there was a list of phrases (3-7 words) regarding each particular chapter of the episode... it was kinda like this

1ST EPISODE TITLE
- Phrase 1
- Phrase 2
- Phrase 3
- Phrase 4
- Phrase 5

2ND EPISODE TITLE
etc...

Re: Futurama vol. 1-3 at walmart $15/each

Cool. Are these phrases printed in some sort of booklet or on the original packaging or something?

It's a double-sided cover as the slimcases are transparent.
