I'm planning on buying a Panasonic CT-27SF37 for $489 after tax and shipping. Is this a good price and product to buy to go with a Sony DVP-S530D player? I don't want to spend more than $500 on a TV. Thanks for any opinions.

Where did you find that price at? I really want to know because I just bought the CT-27SF26 for a total of $503.49 after tax.

Shiz. yeah that's a good price. I just bought the same tv, CT27SF37 for $545 after shipping. Good find.

Also, I'm going to return the CT-27SF26 back.
Very cool. Not only did I get a newer model but I also saved some money!

Cool, looks like this is a good buy. I'll go buy it also This baby has component inputs also, unlike the CT-27SF36 model.

I just found out that there is a hidden shipping charge of $95 for that TV. I got a email from them stating that shipping is only free if TV are 32" or up.
That makes the price of the TV for a total of $584.
Not such a good deal after all. Cancelled it and I will never try to buy from them again.

Whoah man, that sucks. Just FYI, I got mine off EBAY which was being offered by Simplydiscount.com. They charged me $45 for shipping. I checked ebay and the model was going for $490 on there consistently so you might wanna check Ebay or Simplydiscount out. It's a good tv...a nice and cheaper substitute for a WEGA with about the same quality..IMHO.
