$39.98 for Ken Burns "The West" is the lowest I have ever seen this, a great, great deal and one heck of a series.

Thanks for posting this, although not for the reason I expected. I know this set retails for $129, so this did look like a great price. Then, I noticed used copies were selling on Amazon for about $34. Finally, I went to Half.com and they are going for even lower. I got this set and the Civil War set both "like new" and shipped to my house for $51.

I don't know why they are going for so little now, but I wouldn't have looked without this post.

Thanks OP ... I went to Half.com and got a Like New (Viewed Once) copy for $27 delivered (less than $5 per disc) ... I suspect it is not as good as The Civil War (which is one of the best shows that I have ever watched) but at that price I am willing to take a gamble.

Thanks OP. I could've gone the half.com route, but I added the Collector's Edition of La Dolce Vita for $19.99 and it was more on half so technically I came out cheaper on Daedalus.
