I'm tired of my cable company and my apartment complexes policy that they will only allow MediaOne to service the complex and not allow other companies to service.

I am thinking of getting a dish and was wondering if anyone here has one and can tell me the best system and network to go with.
I do have a few requirements. I need 2 receivers. I would like the most channel combinations for the money. And I have to have my local networks (the air channels like local nbc, cbs, abc, etc) included.

Thanks for any help.

I have DISHNETWORK and I am pleased with their services, plus I have Personal TV (Like TiVo) and love it.

I heard that they will have some kind of High speed internet service some time in the furture.

You can check them out @ www.dishnetwork.com and I think you can get the equipment practically free, if you sign up with one of there yearly plans. Extra receivers are $5 a month.

I think if you into sports then DIRECTTV is better. Anyway checkout the following comparison page for more info. http://www.qtm.net/~trowbridge/DBScomp.htm
and for more info... http://www.dbsdish.com/

I have Dish Network as well, and while I am pleased with the programming, I was shocked at the amount of digital compression artifacts to be seen. I converted from C-Band and was a little underwhelmed by the video quality. Just a heads up for 'ya.

I have direct tv and use 2 rca units. I have
had it from the onset and am completely
satified. If it storms hard it may have some
artifacs but not bad. the picture is very
good as well as the sound. It has a couple
5.1 channels but my older recivers do not
have the output for this. I am waiting to
upgrade recievers to hd when they start to
offer more channels in hd. I highly recommend
direct tv. I have freinds that have dish
network and while the quality is the same,
they do not have quite as much to offer in
the way of service. You would probably be
happy with either service though. Unless you
are in a major area you will not have local
channels. I subcribe to basic cable for local
channels and the Packer games.

Thanks for the help. I picked up the RCA Multi-room package. But, unfortunetly, it appears I have to take it back. I thought I had access to the southwest direction in the sky, as that is what I was told to get the satalliete to work. But when I used the little compass from the self-install kit. The closest I get is about directly west.
I'm in an aparment building, which sucks. I'm debating keeping it as I am trying to get a house soon, and it was a good deal.
