It was mentioned in a Movie Forum thread that some of you want to see a tourney or two in this forum. Let me know if this is true and what kind of tourney you want. I am gonna assume you want to start with either Favorite Album or Favorite Artist. I will post a poll and see where we stand. If there is enough support for this, I will go ahead and post a Selection Thread in a week or so.

Not really in need of anything per se, just thought it might be fun to see how Artist, Album, etc played out. As for TV Show theme song, wouldn't that be more in the TV Show forum? Not sure

How can a "favorite" be determined by a tournament? Favorite is, by definition, a very personal and subjective thing.

In this context, it would be the "favorite" of the voting aggregate. Ergo, what we're really determining is the DVD Talk Community's Favorite (Title).

As for music, I don't have a vote yet but I do have some ideas:

Favorite Duet
Favorite Music Video
Favorite Concert Video/TV Special

Also, I think the "Favorites by Decade" idea would work even better with music than with movies. And, of course, you can also go the "awards show" route and do Favorite Male, Favorite Female, Favorite Duo, Favorite Band, etc.
