TV Week in Amazon's Gold Box (May 18-24) Purchase (or non-purchase) Poll
I thought it's be interesting to DVD Talkers (and any Amazon employee lurkers), just how many people took advantage of this so-called "sale".
Please specify the number of sales in which you actually purchased something. Multiple copes of the same product or multiple SNL seasons constitutes one purchase. If you did purchase something please post what you actually purchased.
There were 7 DOTD and 5 Lightening Deals making a total of 12 possible chances to purchase this week.
For me, it's a big fat ZERO.

picked up heroes s1 and s2 on BD for $60. seemed like a decent price to me, even if s2 was blah and a shortened season.

Incredible Hulk & Miami Vice for me. Already had Knight Rider & Northern Exposure or I'd bought those too.

There should have been a "I was going to purchase something but fell asleep" poll option, for creekdipper's sake.

I can't say what would have made me make a purchase, but it would have to be a complete series that made each season collectively considerably cheaper than the individual sets. I added one to my cart as soon as I saw it: Big Love seasons one and two. I love the show, but have only rented it in the past, but have a hankerin' to watch it again and probably some more after that, so I would like to own it. But I realized I've seen the individual seasons for $25.00 each before, so it wasn't that fantastic of a deal.
One, which I WASN'T tempted on, was the Two and a Half Men bundle. I think each season broke down to be about $20.00 in that deal, if I recall right. I was no fan of the show, but it would have to be taken down to at least $14.99 per season on a sitcom like that before I even considered a purchase. Ideally, $12.99 per season, since I've seen shows like that priced that low in B&M stores before.

I probably would have picked up Miami Vice and Northern Exposure if I didn't already have them.
I did pick up Knight Rider and Incredible Hulk.

Nothing. Might have bought Northern Exposure if it had been less money. My general feeling was the deals this time around were less "on sale" and more "small price drops". Like everyone else here I shop around enough to know the difference.

Crappy sale. Only real deal was Heroes S1/S2 on Blu-ray but I already own them.
