I'm all for new members posting new releases, but what the hell is it with these 5 DVD releases Willo has posted? Has anyone heard of any of this films? All of them look to me like direct to DVD that end up in bargain bins after a month.

I pre-ordered this a week or so ago from columbia house for less than $8. I hope it is good. It looks cool and has a good cast. I am definitely interested in t he 40+ minutes of deleted scenes.

That's Nice dx23, I know for the most part limited theatrical releases are not shown in Puerto Rico, It does not mean the films are direct to DVD. You should go to the newly and 1st Best Buy that just opened over there and check them out on release date.

Again, I wasn't criticizing your post, just the fact that I haven't heard of any of the films you posted. Still, Outlander seems to be a fun action-packed film that I'm going to give a chance.

Actually, I'm not in PR anymore, I moved to NC over 9 months ago. Still, Puerto Rico has now 3 Best Buys!!! Yet, they have a difference price point for almost everything (usually higher price than the mainland).

I'm not sure if I would like the Vikings vs. Spacemen angle.
But I would give it a try also. I've taken a chance on blind
buys before so this will be no different.
I probably won't get this on release day though.

Re: Outlander --> 05/19/09
I just watched this movie and its actually pretty good. I was expecting a sci-fi original shit-fest. But against all odds, it turned out to be the best creature feature I've seen in a long time.
The effects, the plot, the characters, the acting are all great. Also, its definitely R-rated. I don't usually care about a movie's rating, but they've been feeling a bit too sanitized lately. This one has an appropriate amount of gore.
The best thing though, is the creature and its backstory. It is an awesome design. It is scary and feels dangerous as hell. But it also has a poignancy to it. You'll have to watch to see what I mean.

You weren't impressed by the creature's head coming out through the waterfall?
