Man, that Fallout 3 vs. Left 4 Dead match-up is the toughest one for me so far. For their respective types of gameplay, I'd put them pretty much dead even. I ended up voting for Fallout 3, just for its sheer scope.

Even though it is early, I can't believe Mike Tyson Punchout is crushing FF7.

After Final Fantasy II, I know I lost interest in the series... and shortly thereafter stopped playing most RPGs altogether. I did, however, play through much of FF7. So that matchup is really going to be about RPGs vs. the NES glory days. I don't doubt that FF7 is the benchmark, but you're fighting nostalgia now.

Some tough decisions here.
Tecmo Bowl and Metal Gear Solid... Tecmo Bowl is the only sports game I ever actually cared for besides the Mutant League games. MGS1 was simply awesome though, so it wins by a slight margin.
Fallout 3 and Left for Dead... I can't vote for since I have played neither. I love Fallout 1 and 2, but I hate the Elder Scrolls series and refuse to play Fallout 3 just because I see it as nothing but Elder Scrolls with guns.
Resident Evil 4 and Civ 4... RE4 was a fun game but a very crappy Resident Evil game since it had barely anything in common with the Resident Evil mythos. Civ 4 is just simply crack in digital form. Civ 4 wins.
Legend of Zelda and Monkey Island... Both are classics, but point-and-click adventures like Monkey Island are more like watching a movie and less like playing a game. Zelda is far more fun to actually play and has more replay value. Zelda wins.
Final Fantasy VII and Punch Out... I hate JRPGs, and Punch Out is my favorite NES game of all time. No contest, Punch Out wins.

- Tecmo Bowl
I'm usually not a fan of sports games, but Tecmo Bowl is an exception. Add to that the fact that the original MGS hasn't held up too well (if it ever did), and this was and easy decision.
- Fallout 3
Both great games, but I will take an amazing single-player experience over a multi-player one everytime.
- Resident Evil 4
Easy choice as I love RE4 and never cared for sim/strategy games.
- Legend of Zelda
I look back far too fondly on my very first time with the first Zelda to pick almost anything else.
- Mike Tyson Punchout
Again, while I enjoyed FF7 while I was playing it, I don't look back too fondly on it. And while I liked Super Punchout much more, Mike Tyson's was a big one for me.

Just a reminder that today is the last day to vote. There is one tie, so keep those votes coming.

Not any more. I always forget to vote in these. Usually most the games I've never played, but this round I've played all but FF7, Left 4 Dead, and RE4...and enjoyed the hell out of them.
Do the PC games usually do pretty crappy? Because I can't see how Civ4 is losing by that much. And Monkey Island never stood a chance, but it deserves a better fate.

To be fair, I've played one in each match (except for one) but just don't feel strongly enough about the ones I have played to vote for them over a game I haven't played.
