I really have two questions. The first is: Where can Ig et the best price on this system? The second is: Is the subwoofer powerfull enough? I have read the reviews on audioreview.com and one common complaint was that it seemed like it didn't produced enough bass from the subwoofer. Has anyone else experienced this or is the subwoofer adequete. I am not an audiophile, but I do like a lot of bass to make the explosions come alive. Thanks

Don't know where the best price is these days. I bough the Take 5's from Audioexcellence.com and thought at the time I got a fair price (about 20-25% off list when they had just come out).

For what it is worth, after listening both the ES-8 and the ES-10 subs, I decided to go with the ES-10. It sounded a bit fuller and had more bottom end than the ES-8. I would try listening to both to see whether it is worth it to you to step up to the bigger sub.

Try www.audioshop.on.ca as I have always heard that they have the best deal on this system. Remember prices there are quoted in CDN$ not US$.

Unless you need the space, you can look at this speaker set the I bought about 2 months ago and I could not believe what I got for the money. 2 3-way towers, 2 3-way surrounds, a center, and a sub for about $500. These will give you all the bass you want and then some. I went for these over the Take 5, they sound so much better. You won't be disappointed with this set. But it's up to you
