I read somewhere that the 2200 has a joystick on the remote which makes navigating through the menus harder? Is this true?

Also, the review said that the disc tray was flimsy? True?

Even though the SD3109 is the older model, would I be better off with it?

Thanks
Joe

considering the 2200 is the 3109, just model year 2000 insteadd of model year 1999, I would assume the tray is the same. My SD-1200 is EXACTLy the same physical design as the SD-2109 of 1999. Only real changes were internal, and on the remote. As for the remote, the 1200/2200 seperated the FF/RW from chapter skip's forward and reverse.

I have a 2200 coming, but before I ordered went to a b&m to "play" with it. I thought the joystick was very nice and did not find it hard to navigate. It's not really a "stick", but a large button with a nice groove for your thumb.
