In the current rotation:
Changing Horses by Ben Kweller
Fork In The Road by Neil Young
Potato Hole by Booker T.
And I'm still listening to...
Tonight At The Arizona by The Felice Brothers. I can't say enough good things about this one.

Crippled Black Phoenix, The Resurrectionists/Night Raider
Peaking Lights, Imaginary Falcons
Matthew Good Band, The Audio of Being
Cerrone, Love Ritual
Adam Freeland, BBC Essential Mix '08
Crippled Black Phoenix's double album is staggeringly great, surpassing what I may have been expecting after their first release, which was quite good if a bit limited in its general appeal. I'd consider this new one to be unmissable.

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion
Bill Evans - The Paris Concert: Edition One & Edition Two
These Bill Evans CD's are something every person who likes music should own and memorize basically.

Sessa 17,
I've been listening to Murder By Death lately too. In Bocca Al Lupo is great. I also really enjoy their latest, Red of Tooth and Claw.

I'm digging that Chester French album, too.
Today, however, I was feeling a bit Canadian...
...although I had a different choice fro Matthew Good Band...
...as "Indestructible" is my favorite tune by the band.

I 'legally purchased'* this today, and I'm digging it. One song smacks of effort on this release, but I suspect producer meddling there.
I think I really like this.

Dr Mabuse,
I can see what you mean about The Felice Brothers, but I find their sound to be genuine. For further proof just check out some of their live performances (some available on You Tube) and I think you'll see that they're playing and singing from the heart.
I'm glad you're enjoying Tonight at the Arizona. Just curious, though, which track is still giving you trouble?

Re: What Are You Listening To? (May 2009 Edition)
So far today, it's been...
School of Seven Bells - Alpinisms
I read a lot about it last year when it came out but never got around to listening to it until a few weeks ago. Amazing - would've easily been in the Top 5 of 2008 had I heard it in time....and the heavyweight vinyl edition is just gorgeous.
Spice Girls - Spiceworld
An amazing pop album...can't believe it'll be 12 years old this year. [!!!]
Coming later this evening:
Duran Duran - Big Thing
An underrated gem in the Duran Duran catalogue.
R.E.M. - Murmur [Deluxe Edition]
Finally got around to picking it up - $14.99 at Best Buy, can't beat that!
Giles - the second Klaxons album is in the works. Apparently their original submission got rejected by their label so they're tweaking it. I cannot wait to see what they come up with - the debut was/is amazing.
