Re: The Rarest, Most Valuable Video Games: which do/did you have?

I swear I have the worst luck. After seeing the high dollar demand for PS1 RPGS a few weeks back, I collected all the PS2 RPGS, and not a dang one of em is worth anything. lol

Re: The Rarest, Most Valuable Video Games: which do/did you have?

Anyone have any idea what DS/PSP games might be rare/valuable?

Off the top of my head, I can think of the following that I have that might be rare (although they were definitely hard-to-find), but I'm not sure:

Advance Wars: Dual Strike (DS)
Electroplankton (DS)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS) --> was rare until the reprint
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS) --> original cover
Kirby: Canvas Curse (DS)
Warioware: Touched! (DS)
Yoshi: Touch and Go (DS)
Gradius Collection (PSP)
Guilty Gear Judgment (PSP)

Trauma Center was rare for a while, probably not anymore though.

The Nintendo published Tetris for the DS went out of print pretty quickly, and the US version can be hard to find for cheap, especially unopened.

The first Lumines for the PSP is pretty hard to find, mostly because it contains an old PSP update.

Re: The Rarest, Most Valuable Video Games: which do/did you have?

^ I have Trauma Center and Tetris as well. Wasn't aware that Tetris was that hard-to-find. Trauma Center got a second printing a couple of years ago that made it less rare, similar to Phoenix Wright. Although by now I think that second printing has probably dried up as well.

Re: The Rarest, Most Valuable Video Games: which do/did you have?

I'd say the rarest games I own are...

Shenmue II: UK Version (in Japanese w/ subs)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Super Mario RPG (SNES)
Both Legend of Zelda Compilation Discs for GameCube (Ocarina/Master Quest & Zelda/Zelda 2/Ocarina/Majora's Mask)

I still can't believe I got those Zelda discs for free... soo much gameplay and 480p graphics. Still play it on the Wii.

Re: The Rarest, Most Valuable Video Games: which do/did you have?

Tetris DS is the main one that comes to mine. Even the Japanese version sells second hand for 3,500 to 4,000. I just sold mine at a store for 2,200 which was pretty good since I'd bought it second hand.

Also... I've got all the Phoenix Wright games (which reminds me, I need to pick up Apollo Justice), which are out of print and also the import version of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! (On which Elite Beat Agents was based) that seems to be going up in price.

Actually, that one is fairly easy to get for about 2000 yen. So a little rarer than some but not hugely so.
