I'm looking to buy a 300 cd changer. My main concern is that it can play CDR discs. Also, since it will be going in my bedroom it will unfortunately be mated with a receiver that does not have digital inputs and therefore needs to have decent DAC's. It would be nice if it had an optional keyboard for text entry. I don't want to spend much more than $300 (it is after all only a cd player.) Do any mega changers offer HDCD decoding? Just curious...they'd probably be pretty expensive. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Quote it is after all only a cd player.)
I have used SONY and Technics CD changfers with same speakers / recvr and they sound different - I dont know wht but Technics sounded much much better than SONY. (maybe due to cap. / MASH or sampling etc.?) but they sound different.
I would reccommned Technics but they dont have keyboard entry and max cap. is 111. Sony has keyboard entry but they are very slow loading - technics has an innovative frontloading for its 111 instead of roatry like everyone else.
HTH.
