Any good VGA Box to connect PS2/GC/DC to LCD Monitors?

I kinda asked the question in the PSN gaming thread and don't wanna OT from there. I also searched for VGA Box in the VG forum, no luck. If it's discussed, please point me there (if it's outdated thread, we can fire it up again).

Basically the problem is this, i want to hook up my PS2/Dreamcast/GameCube to the computer monitor. The LCD monitor has dvi and vga, no traditional AV inputs, duh.

Well, from my understanding, there are three ways:

1. Get a LCD monitor with AV inputs (basically a LCD TV)
2. Get a TV capturing card of some sort or something of that nature and hook up older devices via the supplied AV inputs
3. Get a VGA Box

#1 obviously out of the question (computer monitors are thinner, which what i prefer to have on my desk and i already have one).

#2 is okay, i don't have a problem with it and frankly, i prefer it since i have a lot of old video to convert (fire away with good recommendations)

#3 is clean and simple, only problem is that there are a lot of negative reviews out there and i'm not sure which ones are good (any help is appreciated).

I might end up getting both #2 and #3 (#2 allows you capture video footage, which is cool). I believe #3 can too, but definitely limited.

Thanks in advance!
