"They Live" midnight showing at the Charles, go or not?

I'm a fan of this piece of cheese, so it could be fun to see this on the big screen at a midnight screening, which i assume will be much more i assume "active" then a regular screening right?

If you're a fan, why not go? I'm sure people will be yelling lines of dialogue at the screen and what not. Should be fun.

Piece of cheese?

Questioning whether or not you should go?

What the eff is wrong with you, man? Of course you should go.

Seeing Carpenter movies on the big screen isn't just a right, it's a priviledge.

Midnight showings in a theater for Cult/Horror Classics are always fun.

If they are anything like the ones here in San Francisco, expect a lot of funny/unfunny jokes and random drunk folk.

GO!!!!

Only go if its a print of the film. Dont waste your time if its just a projected DVD.

I've seen both The Goonies and Ghostbusters in the past month; both in 35mm.

If you dig the film and want to see it on a big screen where it belongs, do it.

And it's They Live, so it should be a yes.

Re: "They Live" midnight showing at the Charles, go or not?

Ended up going, had a great time, got blitz before hand, i got there like 45 min early so why not. It was a dvd print (at least i think/assume it was, no little black cig burns on the top, and it was projected on a 1:85 screen anamorphically (since the oar is 2:35). Lots of cheering, clapping ect at certain moments (the great fight scene between Roddy and David, Roddy's classic line "I'm kicking ass, and chewing bubblegum) and the overall cheesyness of certain parts. I do wonder though, was this intended to be a serious movie

Yea... I know. That's one of those stupid words that tricks me into thinking it's spelled more fancy than it is.
