Has there ever been a quadruple-dip DVD?
I know Reservoir Dogs was a triple-dip. I believe Platoon and Scarface were as well.
But has the same movie ever been released 4 different times on DVD [no Blu/HDDVD] - a quadruple-dip?

I'm about to triple dip on the first X-Men movie (to Blu-ray) and I've done the same for King Kong. I think that's the most I've gone so far.

Re: Has there ever been a quadruple-dip DVD?
Should a release really count as a "dip" if it's just a repackaged version? There might be some cosmetic differences (packaging, cover art, disc art, etc.), but there's no new material. It's still the same disc.
For example, the Star Wars Trilogy really consists of two (or 1.5, depending on how you look at it) releases. The discs included in the 2006 box set are the same ones from the 2004 release. Those same discs were used again as Disc 1 of the 2007 individual releases and the 2008 box set.

Those haven't been released A BUNCH of times.
The original barebones
The 2004 box set
Then the new Deluxe editions
And if you count the BDs of part 1 and the eventual releases of the BDs of the rest.
I guess that's four, but the BDs haven't all come out...........yet.

T2 as other's mentioned.
Also, Casino (my favorite movie)
Barebones DVD
Special Edition DVD
HD-DVD
Blu-Ray
Reservoir Dogs:
Barebones DVD
Mr. Brown Special Edition
Gas Can Special Edition
Blu-Ray
That's the most I can think for 4 releases. I do have a lot of 3's thanks to Blu-Ray however.

Ôtomo's Akira
Akira - Standard
Akira - Geneon Signature Series
Akira - DTS
Akira - Special Edition
Akira - Limited Tin Special Edition
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre should give the Evil Dead series a run. Maybe Giggles can chime in if he's still lurking about.

Re: Has there ever been a quadruple-dip DVD?
There are sort of two more releases of Casino, although for the purposes of the thread the number would stay the same because HD-DVD and BD don't count. There's the first Universal release, then the Anniversary Edition, which they then downgraded to the "Special Edition" by removing one of the two sides from the double-sided disc (and thus, most of the bonus features), and then there's a version you can only get in the "Gangster" collection from Universal that's an actual 2-disc version of the "Anniversary Edition", which is what they should have done in the first place.
The theatrical version of The Professional was also stripped of the WS side of the disc at some point and is now a FS only disc.
I would say Terminator 2 has only been dipped three times on DVD, unless the Skynet Edition is coming to DVD as well. There's the old snapper, the Ultimate and the Extreme. Same goes for Reservoir Dogs.
Here are a few more that are sort of quadruple dipped:
The Fifth Element
Sony DVD (flipper)
Sony DVD (flipper) inside The Luc Besson Collection
Sony Superbit DVD
Sony 2-Disc Special Edition
Dazed and Confused
Universal DVD
Universal High School Reunion Collection DVD
Universal Flashback Edition DVD
Criterion Collection Special Edition
Do the Right Thing
Universal DVD
Criterion Collection Special Edition
Universal "Spike Lee Joint Collection" DVD (anamorphic)
Universal 20th Anniversary Edition (not yet released)
The Princess Bride
MGM/UA DVD
MGM/UA Special Edition
Sony "Dread Pirate Roberts"/"Buttercup" 2-Disc Editions
20th Century Fox 20th Anniversary Edition
Night of the Living Dead
Elite Millennium Edition
Anchor Bay 30th Anniversary Edition
20th Century Fox Colorized Edition
Weinstein Company 40th Anniversary Edition
(and more, because the title is public domain)
I think Jaws and Spider-Man are going to end up dipped again, which both have three releases (25th/DTS/30th and 2-Disc/Superbit/Deluxe).
