Why Does Hollywood Hate Gay People So Much?

Why Does Hollywood Hate Gay People So Much?
I never quite understood it.
I mean Hollywood loves racial movies... To Kill a Mockingbird... Guess Who's Coming for Dinner?... Crash... sorry I used those all in the same sentence.
But they have yet to award the Best Picture Oscar to a movie postively portraying the plight of gay people. Sure Sean Penn won Best Actor for Milk... but that's not nearly the same thing as rewarding the film.
I think despite how tolerant Hollywood claims to be... they are in fact... not.

I guess Frost/Nixon didn't win because Hollywood hates republicans.
But they do love Indians, have you seen all the Indian actors getting work in Hollywood?

Yeah, why did my Hitler one get locked? I don't think there was anything wrong with it and it was a discussion about movies. (and it was all tongue-in-cheek - no one would have taken it seriously).
