The 3PM PS3 game must be Fallout.

Re: Amazon Gold Box (4/13) - Video Game Day

10AM is kind of unclear, but maybe a Rockband track pack?
I'm pretty sure 11AM is Fire Emblem DS
Noon is Buzz Master Quiz PSP. I thought trivial pursuit, but there wasn't a PSP version of that one.
3PM must be Fallout as you said.
5PM sound like Killzone 2
6PM sound like Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2. Duh, no idea why I thought Rockband first with the word Tour in the hint.

I'm in for Fallout 3 if it is around $30-the same price as the Blockbuster clearance.

Did the PS3 version ever get patched? I know it had some issues at launch.

Yeah, apparently it did several weeks ago. It supposedly fixed most of the issues and added trophy support.

I know the game updated when I first played it. I haven't had any trouble through about 25%.

In that case I'm interested in this one as well if the price is low enough.

Re: Amazon Gold Box (4/13) - Video Game Day

I might be in for Fallout depending on price, but goddammit...the last thing I need is another game in my backlog. As it is, I need to get through Prince of Persia (underrated) get Burnout Paradise online a bit, review a bunch of LBP levels, play through Pearl Jam - Ten again...and I just bought Valkyria Chronicles.

Ugh.

I hear you. I keep adding to my backlog like I will actually get around to any of these. Valkyria has my attention now so even if I get Fallout it will sit for awhile.

Re: Amazon Gold Box (4/13) - Video Game Day

Yeah, my backlog is pretty bad right now. Finally finished Gears 2 single player after all this time and just recently finished BioShock.

I do want to give Killzone 2 another shot, I think expectations kind of killed that one for me so I hope that 5:00 pm special is Killzone 2 for a reasonable price. Anyone tried the Amazon trade-in stuff yet? I have a few games I don't really play anymore (LittleBigPlanet, R&C Future, Warhawk, etc; ) and wouldn't mind having a few others to try out ( Fallout 3, RE5 )

Also, anyone seen any specials on Rock Band 2 drums? (my RB1 drums are showing their age).

I traded in a bunch of games when they first started the trade-in program and I had zero problems. I actually got pretty good prices on most of the games, but it looks like their trade-in values have dropped since then (I got $22 when I traded in SSBB, but it looks like now I'd only get $14.75).

Is Fire Emblem worth it?

Edit: Oh, hell, the ticking timer convinced me. Purchased.

It wasn't my favorite, but I would have been happy with it for $20.

The Buzz game is also pretty good. I really recommend it for anyone with a PSP at $10.

Re: Amazon Gold Box (4/13) - Video Game Day

I think I own every Fire Emblem game ever made, and I think I MIGHT have played an hour of the first one. I love the IDEA of Fire Emblem, but I just never get around to actually playing them.

So I'm drawing the line right now. I'm not buying any strategy games until I finish Advance Wars 2 and 3 and at least a couple of Fire Emblems, and that could be a long while at the rate I'm going!

Wow, Buzz PSP went fast. I was considering purchasing it even though I don't have a PSP yet, but I got distracted for a minute and when I looked back at the page, the deal was at 100% claimed.

I think if you put it in your cart right away, while logged in, that it gives you some extra time.

Think I'll check out KillZone if the price is right.

Fallout 3 is at $40. If it were $30 I would've had to bite, but I can wait...

Just bought it. That one's going very fast too.
