I bought a Samsung 40" A630 model, and I really like the way it looks, but every time I turn it off it loses any changes I made to settings. Not only that, it always restarts in "Dynamic" mode, instead of "Cinema" or whatever else I have it set to, forcing me to go into the menu and change it back every time I turn it on again.

Is this the way this TV is supposed to be? My old 30" Samsung didn't do that. Or is it maybe set on some Demo mode to keep people from tampering with the settings that I just haven't found a way to disable yet? Or is my TV just messed up? It's not a huge deal but it is getting kinda annoying.

I had a different model Samsung that would always revert to Dynamic mode. It needed to have it's firmware updated.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I'll see if there's a firmware update.

Well, I checked Samsung's website, and they don't list any firmware updates.

Okay, it WAS in Store Demo mode. I did some more searching, and discovered a few references to this on another forum. The only way to deactivate it is to press the volume button on the TV, and then hold the menu button for about 10 seconds, just in case anyone else needs to know.
