How to convert VCD songs to mp3?

Hey gang..need to consult your help again..is there a way to convert VCD karaoke songs to mp3? anyone done this before??

Go to http://www.geocities.com/virtualdub/ and get Virtual Dub. Copy the .DAT vcd file from the disc and use Virtual Dub to export the audio into wave format. Then you can use any MP3 encoder to encode the wave.

Gee now i feel stupid. What i did (once only) was that I open my WAV recording proggie from Creative, pop the VCD inside and play it will the usual VCD software then click REC in the WAV recording. Then later on just convert it to MP3.

but this is not a good method i think.. maybe should try MysticWar's suggestion next time
