Castle (Nathan Fillion) -- "A Chill Goes Through Her Veins" -- 04/06/09

Castle

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

A woman found frozen at a construction site leads Beckett and Castle to reopen a cold case. The probe into the victim's past stirs up unpleasant memories for Beckett, which provides Castle with new book material.

This is episode 5. There are 5 more left this season.

Also, Castle is probably going to be hurt in the ratings tonight since Dancing with the Stars is no longer it's lead-in. Surviving Suburbia (Bob Saget's new show) will follow DWTS and be Castle's lead-in. But if you weren't Castle 5 weeks ago, then you probably aren't watching now.

So does this mean it has moved to a new time? Is it one hour later now?

Oh good, no more annoying phone numbers and DWTS hosts to skip through at the beginning of my recording. And thanks for the reminder, I need to set up a recording for Suburbia.

Looking forward to more backstory on Beckett, and hope this week's show is as good as last week's.

As for time, Castle has always been at 10pm Pacific time, having the new show in the middle should just mean that Dancing is cut to one hour instead of two. Or moved up to the 8pm slot from 9, I've never actually watched it so I don't know where it was on the schedule. I just know that Castle hasn't moved.

DJ you are killing me . They are up against a new medium, college basketball title game, and no DWTS lead in. I think if this still draws 6.5 or even a hold over the last few weeks they need to renew this immediately .

Finally watched this because I was at work when it aired. As I had hoped it developed the relationship more but not too much. It was a decent episode not the one I would show if I was trying to convince someone but still good.

Also the rating for monday nights show was a 6.4 80% retention out of Bob Saget. So not bad considering the night and not coming out of Dancing like the previous weeks. I said if this held it should be picked up immediately but I think only dropping half a point considering everything this should be picked up. It is doing much better then some other shows that are locked in right now.

Good episode. I was laughing really hard during the laser tag scenes.

And I foresee some trouble for Castle down the road for opening that file at the end. . .

The end scene where they were sitting in the car and Castle asking if they could just drive on and not go in to interview the father... and the obligatory I have to I'm a cop. That scene struck me as something eerily similar to another TV show but I can't remember - anyone know?

I think in the other show it was 2 detectives though - was it Life?

It reminded me of "Gone Baby Gone."
