Any other Blu-ray titles besides Pinocchio & Sleeping Beauty include a standard disc?

I was wondering if there are any other titles on Blu-ray that
include a standard disc as a bonus disc like what Disney did with
the Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray's? Thanks in advance
for any info. Very much appreciated.

^Come to think of it, it makes sense for Disney to include a DVD with BD releases: A BD for the parents and a DVD for the kids to destroy...

Re: Any other Blu-ray titles besides Pinocchio & Sleeping Beauty include a standard d

I wonder if this will become more of a norm? Especially in terms of kids movies, I would absolutely start buying more Blu-ray if that was the case - because not only do we have the Blu copy, but my son also has a DVD copy for his room or the car. Today I'm hesitant in some cases to buy Blu because I don't want to double-dip out of the blocks for a movie so he can have his 'own' copy to watch elsewhere.

(I have never looked into the options for burning a copy of a Blu disc onto DVD-R, but I know that discussion is not 'allowed' here )

Probably until Blu-ray portable players become more of a (affordable) reality. I'm assuming a lot of parents like the DVDs for those in-car players.

Re: Any other Blu-ray titles besides Pinocchio & Sleeping Beauty include a standard d

Thanks for the above info/replies. I don't own a Blu-ray yet,
but I did purchase Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty. If they would
not have have came with the standard disc in them, I would not have.
I know I will eventually own a Blu-ray player, and I seen this as a good
value for someone like myself who will eventually purchase a player.
I get a disc I can watch now and a jump on starting a Blu-ray collection
for later down the road. Hopefully others will follow Disney's lead on this.

Anyone wanting Bolt should probably buy it in blu, even if you don't have a blu-ray player yet.

$14.99 after coupon (at TRU, or $16.99 at Target), and you get the SD disc for until you upgrade.

All the MGM titles like Road House, where they just stick in the SE DVD for the bonus features and leave the BD barebones.

Inkheart has the DVD and Digital Copy on one disc. Finally, a studio using their brains.

And it's Warner! Didn't think they had brains to use!

Neither did I. I was a bit shocked to see the DVD + DC combo sticker on the slip cover (though the actual slip still only says Digital Copy Special Edition). Hopefully they do this with all films in the future.

It might be nice to have an "official" list of these in a first post. You up for it OP?

Just checked and see that s/he hasn't posted in almost two months, so maybe a new thread would be appropriate.

Gizmo has started an "official" thread listing these, so we can probably close this one up.

Although I'm not a fan of the digital copies I do like this idea. The only thing I purchase is BR? Blu? BD? of the heck with it, hi-def discs. In the bedroom I only have an HD-DVD player so the backup SD is nice until I spring for a Blu-ray player.
