I think Paul Blart is getting the edge and winning if compared against Watchmen!

Yeah financially it wins. But creatively Paul Blartt is a creatively bankrupt piece of cinematic excrement while Watchmen aspires for something more than mere entertainment. It doesnt always succeed but when it does it it makes the risk of adapting the novel into a film worthwhile..

I seen both and liked both but Watchmen is the better and more enjoyable movie

Is this really surprising to anyone? Paul Blart is a PG rated movie that you can take your kids to. Watchmen is a R rated hardcore movie based on a graphic novel that many are unaware of. It's not surprising which one is doing better.

In the OP's defense: There have been a few posts in the weekly BO threads ripping Paul Blart (and the audience for the movie) for being a big hit and there are some posters annoyed with the fact that Watchmen will make much less.

I agree that the comparasion is stupid (PG family flick vs. R-Rated comic book movie) but it's not like he was the first to mention the two movies in the same sentence.

Paul Blart was borderline unwatchable, Watchmen was an entertaining way to kill 3 hours.

Box office wise who knows, movie wise Watchmen without question.
