The question is what masters are they using? Correct me here if I am wrong, but weren't the Rhino ones riddled with mistakes that eventually got fixed?

I'm not too sure about many/any of the details yet, just what TVShowsondvd has...The Rhino sets had some audio and animation glitches from what I remember seeing or hearing on here.

I got the rhino releases. I will take a good long look at the featues on these, see if they might be worthwhile, although i am pretty happy with the current releases.

Well, if the episodes are intact and not spliced together or whatever was wrong with the Rhino sets, I think that warrants a double-dip.

I would just sell those sets now before the price plummets. I know when I was looking for them they were really expensive used.

I assume since it's a 25th Anniversary edition, they have to do something different.

I only have season 1 as a Rhino set. The rest of the series I picked up overseas in Asia since they the Rhino sets are so damn expensive on Ebay.

If I recall correctly, there really isn't any good extras on the old Rhino sets.

Yeah, not too much although there were some cells or something like that, if I remember correctly. I don't remember being too dissappointed qualitywise with the set, of course it had been many years since I had seen the episodes so its possible that I do not remember things very clear.

I am so happy they are re-releasing them. The only Rhino set I am missing is the last one Season 3 Part II...so I am hoping they will eventually re-release that. I am thinking of selling all my Rhino sets, but will hold until they show specs of these. I am hoping they remaster them and make them look and sound really good compared to the Rhino versions. I also don't like the Rhino cardboard silver boxes. I prefer them in cool keep cases.

I might hold off on selling the Rhino sets until I get more info... Right now, tvshowsondvd.com is listing all the episodes on 2 discs. I'm guessing disc 3 must be reserved for the supplements... The Rhino sets spread the episodes over 3 discs with a 4th disc for the supplements. Whether the lower disc count would result in a drop in quality, I don't know.
