Best LCD under 30'' for video gaming?
I played some games on my 52'' plasma and it's an eyesore and plus I bought it for TV/Movie purpose anyway. I've been browsing Best Buy and Amazon for a good deal and it seems like the price range is around $500-700 for like a little 26''. I'm not a big gamer, just something to kill time on but I'm looking to spend under $500. I could *try* Circuit City if its still liquidating but my chance of finding one there is slim right now.
Any suggestion?

how much do you want to spend? I see that mention you were looking at TVs at $500-$700 but I don't know if you want to spend that.
I'd suggest you go up to 32'' and there are a lot of nice 720p TVs in that range. From the basic, but reliable Vizio for around $400 to something better from Samsung or Sony that could cost from $500 and up.

Your Panasonic Plasma is 50" and I dont get what you mean by an eye sore. I play games on my Panny plasma all the time and they look great.

By eyesore, I'm playing using controller wire length and I'm sitting like 7 feet from the plasma. I *could* get a wireless controller but I'm not trusting in that whole wireless stuff as of now (even networking).
I didn't think of Vizio, I'll check around for that brand. I mentioned that I want to spend under $500 on a reliable brand and like I said, I'm not a big gamer, just casual, something to kill time.
Would K-Mart or Sam's Club have something available? I'll just browse their site now as I'm typing...

I guess you are not playing a PS3, Xbox 360 or a Wii. All of them are wireless. Wireless works just perfect in all of them.
Sams should have Vizio tvs.

Well, that's an unusual viewpoint, overall. The wireless controllers do work perfectly on all these systems, even with 4 at once. (so does 802.11 networking) And most people actually prefer the bigger pic from sitting close and/or bigger TVs. Maybe your settings are too bright if it bothers you.
But, the advice above is pretty good on the TVs you asked about.

I don't have any of the three next-gen consoles. I just hooked up my PS2 to the 52'' plasma last week and I am using the controller that came with the system, I also have a GameCube.
I do not have a wireless controller because like I said, I'm not keen on them. Are they really 100% reliable? like no interference or lost signal whatsoever?

It seems you would be better off buying wireless controllers before you invest $500 in a separate television, especially if you are a casual gamer. You could always eBay the controllers if they aren't working out for you and make most of your money back.

Gamecube's wireless is perfect, so is PS2. Newer ones also perfect. Now, if you have an NES wireless controller, they are shit.
I would assume, like any other wireless, if the microwave (or a couple other common appliances) is running between the transmitter and receiver, there will be interference. So.....don't keep your microwave between you and the TV.
