I'm going to give it a fair shot. I hope others do as well. He seems like a nice enough guy--let's just hope he can bring the funny.

I've been enjoying his web stuff he's been posting for the last few months. I agree that he's a likable guy, and I hope that he does well. I've never really understood all of the criticism that he often receives by people online. I'm sure it will take him awhile to get a good groove going, but really, it'd be hard for anyone to hit it out of the park right from the get go.

I'm interested in seeing how well the techy stuff he's been working with (Skype, Twitter, etc) will integrate into the show.

I'm gonna watch for a week or so and see how it goes.

This monologue is god awful.

Well about ten minutes in, his monologue feels like an extended SNL monologue. It isn't terrible but he seems to be reading the cue cards and it doesn't quite flow right, but.. still better than Carson Daly's show.

Not sure I see The Roots working as a house band, but it's cool seeing them. Everybody involved seems a little nervous/uncertain how this is all supposed to work.

Not strong but for a first ep, it's sort of expected.

Was he chewing gum? Classy.

His set is too bright too. You know how Conan's set kind of was darker in tone. I liked that.

Ten bucks say the idiotic Lick It bit doesn't survive the night.

Watching it now. I kinda liked "slow jammin' the news".

That licking skit was just pointless and stupid. There needs to be a drinking game where everytime Jimmy buttons or unbuttons his suit... you drink.

I know he wanted a big name but he would have a hard time picking a worse guy to interview than DeNiro.
